Hello! Welcome to my E-portfolio showcasing my journey from my first article and early stages of journalism to being the Editor-in-Chief of the Delta Collegiate. 

From a young age I was captivated by journalism, The news was always on in my house, and I could be found during the morning before school with my eyes glued to ESPN's "Sportscenter" when most kids were watching cartoons. I graduated high school from Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy in 2018 and briefly attended Delta for a year before "taking a year off." Well, a year off turned to a few and after two years being an essential worker, I returned to school in 2023.

I was quietly recruited by our former Editor in Chief, Onnie Stone, to write for the paper. They were in desperate need of someone to write sports, and I was that guy. I joined in January of 2024 and had my first article published not long after. I really stuck to where I felt comfortable for the first two months before breaking out and writing profiles and covering a wider range of events. I was promoted to sports editor in January of 2025 and worked hard at growing the relationship between the Collegiate and Delta's athletic department. After the Winter semester both our Editor in Chief and Associate Editor moved on from the Collegiate. Following a long conversation during the summer with our advisor, a lot of thinking, and some tweaking of my schedule, I accepted the job to be the next leader of the Collegiate.
